Pastor Bobby was raised on a farm in central Shenandoah Valley. After graduating from VA TECH he spent several years in sales. He met Wanda at a local church and they married in 1988. During that first year of marriage, God called Bobby to prepare for ministry which took them to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. Bobby completed a Master of Divinity there and Wanda finished a Masters in Church Music.
Upon graduating, Bobby and Wanda moved back to Virginia where Bobby began pastoring in his hometown. After six years, the Lord made it clear that their next season was to plant a church. In seeking the Lord about the location, the Holy Spirit pinpointed Winchester as the place. Crossroads Community Church was planted in 1998. Starting in their home, Crossroads grew through seven locations finally landing in the current one since February 2007.
Both Bobby and Wanda are equippers not only in their local church but in the Body of Christ. While Bobby leads a gathering of a local pastors, he also gives oversight to other churches. He started Pray Winchester in 2009, which still is engaging today to see transformation of region. Wanda has transitioned out of local ministry although she still serves on our elders’ team. She also teaches and preaches occasionally, and has several online platforms in which she offers, “prophetic perspectives for a kingdom age.” She has contributed articles on The Elijah List, Spirit Fuel, Charisma Magazine and 7MUnderground. More recently she is a regular voice on Elijah Streams and is engaged in speaking and teaching. Her books and resources can be found at: wandaalger.me
Bobby and Wanda have raised three children in Winchester who are young adults, each pursuing their own callings.
