Matching Grant and Missions
Building Our Legacy has been a journey for us over the past two years. Starting from zero in July of 2020, this past Sunday the total amount given was $436,417. Wow, look what the Lord has done!!! You have been faithful and generous. I have some exciting news to share! Someone in the congregation has come forward to match what is given to BOL up to $35,000 to help us reach our goal and we’ve already begun! Over this past weekend, $15,000 was given and it was matched, doubling it to $30,000. This puts our BOL total at $466,822 with $20,000 still available to be matched. Our goal is to reach 500K to position ourselves adequately for the opportunity that God will bring to us. Has God supplied you with extra? Perhaps he is directing you to give so this matching gift can be exercised. Tim Stowe and I recently sorted through some properties that might be available for consideration. They range from land parcels to vacant grocery stores. We presented those options in a recent leadership meeting. When we reach our 500K goal that doesn’t mean the end of our giving but places us in a good down payment position. As the Lord blesses you in this season, I invite you to consider BOL. This coming Sunday, April 3rd, we are emphasizing missions, both local and abroad. Denis Atis, Communications Manager for PAC-Haiti, will share briefly about his calling and ministry. Keith and Datty Will, accompanied by CrossKids in the second service, will share a special Haitian song. Keith will update us on two of their ministries in Haiti, the wedding dress ministry and the garden. I will follow with a short message titled “Are you being obedient to the heavenly vision?” "So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven.” (Acts 26: 19) Finally, we’ll have a bulletin insert of all the international and local ministries we are supporting and invite you to share in supporting the one(s) of your choice. Also this Sunday in the foyer, Denis will have a table of metal art and Datty and Deborah will have a table with Haitian bead necklaces and bracelets, with proceeds going to missions in Haiti. CrossKids will have a table of baked goods to raise money for a footbridge in a village Denis Atis is involved in. After the second service, pizza will be provided in the PULSE room for anyone wanting to stay and hear more about PAC-Haiti from Denis. There will be many opportunities to participate on this special Mission Sunday! “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." - Acts 1:8 |
