Pastor Bobby and Wanda Alger founded Crossroads in 1998 after pastoring and ministering in the central Shenandoah Valley for over 12 years. Feeling the call to "pastor a community", their vision has always been to see the local community of believers work together towards transforming revival. Building relationships with other pastors and marketplace leaders has been a foundational value from the start and consistent pursuit.

Believing that a church is only as healthy as its leaders, Bobby and Wanda seek to provide the helps necessary for believers to be whole, free, and fully empowered in their gifts and call, starting at home and then in the marketplace. Through the years, Crossroads has provided training and resources in prayer counseling, freedom and deliverance ministries, marriage enrichment, spiritual gifts, and various forms of leadership training.

Bobby's gift of teaching and heart to disciple believers has resulted in a recent book entitled, "Living a Changed Life" (2015). He and Wanda have also written "Making Room for His Presence", a 21-day Community Fast Devotional Guide (2015). Wanda received her Masters in Church Music from Oral Roberts University in 1991 and Bobby received his Masters of Divinity from Oral Roberts University in 1992.

Wanda is a recognized Five-Fold Prophetic Minister with Dove Christian Fellowship International and is a Field Correspondent with Intercessors for America, based in Purcellville, Virginia. She is a contributor to Charisma magazine online and also writes a weekly blog (www.wandaalger.me).

Their three children have been raised in Winchester and are each pursuing God's call on their lives:

Rachel (25) completed two years at Global School of Supernatural Ministry in 2012. Upon completion of a three-month term in Mozambique (Heidi Baker), she began to serve Crossroads as the primary Worship Leader. She is also a free-lance photographer and creative artist, in addition to working part-time at Special Made Goods and Services.

Nathan (23) completed three years at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in 2016 and is pursuing a career in acting. Along with serving as the Assistant Worship Leader at Crossroads, he also helps to lead the Young Adult Ministry with his gift of revelatory teaching.

Josh (20) is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and has also been an active part of the worship team as a drummer,
worship leader, and keyboardist.
