Our Vision Statement (Why we exist)
To Advance the Kingdom of God from house to house, city to city and nation to nation.
Matt 24:14
14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations..." NIV
Acts 28:30-31 30 For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. 31 Boldly and without hindrance he preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ. NIV
Our Mission Statement (What we intend to do)
To invite the lost, unite the church, prepare the workers, and proclaim the truth.
Hebrews 5:12-6:1
12 “You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things a beginner must learn about the Scriptures. You are like babies who drink only milk and cannot eat solid food. 13 And a person who is living on milk isn’t very far along in the Christian life and doesn’t know much about doing what is right. 14 Solid food is for those who are mature, who have trained themselves to recognize the difference between right and wrong and then do what is right. 6:1 So let us stop going over the basics of Christianity again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding..” (NLT)
Our Core Views (The essentials we believe)
We believe the Bible as God’s written Word that is without error and useful for teaching, correction, and inspiration to practice and live a Godly life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. 17 It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.” (NLT)
We believe that God the Father sent His only Son Jesus, to live, die and resurrect from the dead in order to pay the penalty of our sin, so that by accepting Him as Lord we can live victoriously and be guaranteed eternal life.
John 3:16-17
16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (NIV)
We believe that God sent His Holy Spirit, after Jesus left, to accomplish the new birth process in us by making our relationship with God personal, producing within us the fruit of the Spirit and empowering us with gifts for ministry so that the love of Christ may be evident in every setting.
John 16:12-16
12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you. 16 In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.” (NIV)
We believe that prayer is a vital means (along with Bible study, worship and fellowship) by which we develop a personal relationship with God, and the basis from which all significant ministry flows out of the church.
Luke 11:1
1 “One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” (NIV)
Acts 2:42
42 “And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (NAS)
We believe that Jesus Christ is returning again to this earth to judge the living and the dead, receiving those who trusted Him into heaven and sending those who did not trust Him into eternal punishment.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
16 “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (NIV)
2 Timothy 4:1
1 “In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:” (NIV)
Our Core Values (What we intend to practice)
We value that Jesus called His church to go into all the world and make disciples starting in our present community and extending around the world. This includes overseas missions and stateside church planting.
Mark 16:15-16
15 “And then he told them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.’” (NLT)
We value a Biblically centered, yet culturally relevant style of worship with preaching that is Christ-centered and application oriented.
Romans 10:14
14 “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” (NLT)
We value L.I.F.E. (Living In Fellowship Everyday) groups as the basic Christian, community whereby encouraging relationships are formed, life values are transformed and spiritual gifts are exercised to build one another up and there is a focus to reach those who don’t know Jesus Christ.
Philippians 2:1-4
1 “If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same, love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” (NIV)
We value that every member of God’s family is considered a minister, with spiritual gifts, a God-given motivation, and a distinct personality to contribute to the building of God’s Kingdom.
1 Peter 4:8-11
8 “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.” (NIV)
We value that God calls each member in the local body to become leaders in order to teach, train, and model ministry for their family, church, and community.
Ephesians 4:14-16
14 “Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or because someone has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth. 15 Instead, we will hold to the truth in love, becoming more and more in every way like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. 16 Under his direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” (NLT)
We value that God calls the eldership of a church to lead the church and equip others in the body of Christ to share in the work of ministry.
Ephesians 4:11-13
11 “He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ, 13 until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ.” (NLT)
We value the family where marriage is a covenant instituted by God and children are trained to develop Godly character.
Mark 10:6-9
6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” (NIV)
Ephesians 6:1-4
1 Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. 2 “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first of the Ten Commandments that ends with a promise. 3 And this is the promise: If you honor your father and mother, “you will live a long life, full of blessing.” 4 And now a word to you fathers. Don’t make your children angry by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction approved by the Lord. (NLT)
We value the Bible teaches financial freedom through the giving of tithes and offerings and operating in financial integrity.
Matthew 6:33
33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (NKJ)
2 Corinthians 8:7
7 “But just as you excel in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us — see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”
