Vision from the beginning to the end!
- To see unbelievers come to Christ, be baptized in water and the Spirit and become committed to the local body through covenant relationship.
- To see every house/apartment/workplace become a “Presence of Christ” where they are located so that neighbors and co-workers can walk to receive ministry rather than drive somewhere. Neighbors/co-workers can then join together in “LIFE Groups.”
- To see every believer mature in Christ to point of becoming leaders where they influence others in the workplace and community whereby they contribute by mentoring others in Christ through the victories they have received in Jesus.
- To see every believer discover their spiritual gifts within the context of the body in order to motive, equip, and encourage others so that the love of Christ may be evident in every circumstance.
- To see every family fulfill their God given purpose through having obedient children, focused youth, and parents who know their given authority in Christ, to reach the next generation and give them a solid godly foundation.
- To cooperate with other churches in the area to see the community transformed by pursuing pastoral unity through prayer, and meeting community needs through a common purpose.
- To send short-term mission teams to experience cross-culture ministry and support and release intermediate and long term missionaries to complete the work of world evangelization.
- To make available our building as a resource center to the community for equipping and encouraging individuals groups, and organizations toward cooperation in serving others.
- To plant new churches in the region by starting cell groups with leaders who have a vision to see their neighborhoods transformed through the building of relationships, focused outreach, and intentional discipleship.
Our strategy:
As a church we concentrate on growing in revelation (Matthew 16:17) of who God is, relationship with each other (Ephesians 4:16) and generationally (I Timothy 1:5) as a family of God.
As a spiritual family we learn to care for one another’s needs through LIFE group relationships, share our faith with others through focused prayer and outreach, and train everyone in the family to become leaders to carryout the work of the church.
The values of the strategy at Crossroads Community Church are taken from the last instructions given by Jesus to his disciples found in Matthew 28:16-20.
- P rayer – “And when they saw him they worshiped him…”
- E vangelism – “Go into all the world and make disciples…”
- D iscipleship – “Teaching them to obey everything…”
- A nd
- L eadership – “All authority has been given.”
It spells the word P.E.D.A.L. Are you ready to pedal with us?
The system of the strategy at Crossroads Community Church is as follows:
The priority of prayer in everything.
“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God’s mercy upon them, and give thanks. I Timothy 2:1 (NLT)
- Invite (Win) those who don’t know Christ!
“This is good and pleases God our Savior, for he wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.” I Timothy 2:3-4 (NLT)
- Unite (Connect or Consolidate) new believers.
“Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are all parts of his one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others.” Romans 12:4-5 (NLT)
- Prepare (Disciple)
“But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do. II Timothy 3:14, 16-17 (NLT)
- Proclaim (Send)
“But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere -- in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 (NLT)
